New York State Wants To Change How Upstate Votes

State Lawmakers Expected To Vote This Week

The New York State Legislature is expected to pass a bill this week requiring all county and town elections be conducted on even years only. This would be devastating to Onondaga County elections, as we currently elect local lawmakers in odd years. Even years would mean races are happening at the same time as state and federal ones, meaning local messages and issues won’t be heard, especially during a U.S. Presidential race.

Please contact your state lawmakers immediately and tell them to vote against Senate Bill S6197C or Assembly Bill A8560C.
